デレクの予告：映画『Upside Down』英語スクリプト付き

　
　デレクが見たい！と思った映画の予告編に勝手に字幕をつけて紹介する「デレクの予告」。今回は、監督フアン・ソラナス、出演キルスティン・ダンスト、ジム・スタージェスのSFロマンス『Upside Down』です。

　とりあえず予告編をどうぞ。

　互いに重力を持った全く同じの２つの星があって、２つで１つの二重惑星（？）全ての物質は生まれた星の重力の影響を受けるから、下の人が上に行っても上の星の重力はかからない。

　上の星は裕福層で繁栄。アダムが住み下の星は貧困層。上は下から石油かなんかを安く買い上げ、下には電化製品なんかを高額な金額で売りつて成り立ってる世界。ジム・スタージェスが演じる主人公アダムは下の星に住む青年。キルスティン・ダンストが演じるエデンは上の世界の住人。
　二人の恋の行方が気になる。

映画の中の英語

　いつも字幕作る時は、一回英語を文字に起こすんだけど、NHKのabc ニュース〜なんとかみたいに、語学学習に使えれば良いなと思ったので英語スクリプトを載せときます。字幕なしの予告とその後に、英語字幕付き動画が流れるものも作ったので、ディクテーション、シャドーウィングなんかに利用してみてはいかがでしょうか。（勝手にこんなもの作ってMillennium Entertainmentに訴えられても困るけど（汗）

今回のキーワードは「observe（ルール・習慣）を守る」です。

observeは主に観察する・観測するの意だけど、法律・習慣を守るという意味もあり

Observe the terms of the contract 契約条件を守る

結構おかたい言葉っぽい（予告では偉そうなおじさんが言ってたし）けど、observeの後がルールなどなら守るで覚えておいても損はないはず。

英語スクリプト

Each with it’s own and opposite gravity.

In our world it’s possible to fall up and to rise down.

Three thieves from down below arrested last week, raising inter-world tensions.

We don’t go down to their world, and we certainly don’t want them coming up to ours.

We observe a full separation between worlds.

There is to be no contact with those up top.

Imagine if we could go anywhere we wanted to

Border police!

Eden

Contact her again and it will cost you your life.

These weights will hold you down in that world.

Take them off when you want to come back.
